WHAT IS THE ROLE OF AN ACCOUNTANT?
Financial Accountant responsibilities include accounts payable, managing tax payments (e.g., VAT) month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and management reporting. You will also conduct cost and revenue analyses.
Ultimately, you will ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law and support our Company’s Investments.
• Knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Accountant job description is a dynamic role with a multitude of responsibilities, including:
• End to end process for Accounts Payable
• Monitor and report accounting discrepancies based on monthly account reconciliations
• Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• VAT return filing and tax report preparation
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecast (for the entire company and by department)
• Analyze financial trends, assist in sales reporting and OPEX forecast
• Support internal audits for store operations (cash control, inventory audit, etc.)
• Ensure strict observance of the general standard and specific company policies
• Safeguard funds and company assets
• Perform other job or expertise-related assignments in order to develop one’s self a share one’s expertise resulting to support for operational efficiency.
SKILLS & TRAITS
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations (IFRS)
• Excellent math skills with great attention to detail
• Time-management abilities
• Confidentiality and strict compliance to company policies and procedures
• Provides critical financial inputs to decision-making.
