Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Clerk to join our grocery shop team. This position will primarily focus on cashier duties, but will also involve handling delivery tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. As an Administrative Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of our grocery shop and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner at the cashier counter.

Accurately scan and process customer purchases, ensuring correct pricing and handling of cash, credit, and other payment methods.

Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring sufficient supplies such as shopping bags and receipt paper are available.

Assist customers in locating products and answering their inquiries about product availability, prices, and general store information.

Handle customer complaints or concerns, escalating issues to the store manager as needed.

Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.

Assist with managing inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are neatly displayed.

Process and prepare delivery orders for customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Safely operate delivery vehicles to fulfill customer orders promptly.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations and maintain a positive work environment.

Follow safety and security procedures to safeguard inventory, cash, and customer information.

Maintain a good knowledge of store promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs to effectively communicate them to customers.

Adhere to company policies and procedures while adhering to local laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in cashier or customer service roles is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.

Valid driver's license for delivery tasks (if applicable).

Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items during deliveries.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
