Architect Engineer


Candidate Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

· Assist staff architects and will be responsible for design, BIM management and drafting of project construction documents

· Work with minimal direction and may oversee the work of less experienced designers

· Work with teams across business lines and coordination with subcontractors and may include business development and marketing support for proposals and presentations

· Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval

· Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building subcontractors to integrate their elements in the master plans.

· Administers preparation of shop drawings and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.

· Prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.

· Use computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans

· Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents

· Choose suitable materials that comply with project specifications and prepare their submittals.

· Advice and search for alternatives that may function as specified materials and of better prices.

· Coordinates activities concerned with other trades and technical issues.

Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications: · UPDA / MMUP (Grade B or C) Mandatory. · Engineering degree from a recognized university. · Experience: minimum of 07 - 10 years Proficiency in Auto-Cad is required (Photoshop - Primavera ). Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: · Leadership skills and can handle pressure. · Have excellent communication and presentation skills · Be extensively and progressively responsible experience in planning, designing and managing design and construction of major multi used complex projects; includes extensive experience in design and construction of housing, schools, and mixed used buildings. · Knowledge of design and construction management principles; includes CPM scheduling, cost control, change order prici and construction techniques, standards and practices. · Have Knowledge of architectural design principles such as building definition materials and methods, urban design, elements of 'good' design, form, function, materials and methods, circulation, context, and design standards and codes. · Have the Ability to independently prepare architectural procedures and forms. · Demonstrate ability to present complex information to diverse audiences, both verbally and graphically. · Have the Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. · Have demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate projects.
