Since 2014, Niagara College KSA (NC KSA) has operated technical and vocational training colleges throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Vision 2030 initiative and in partnership with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE). A strategic partnership between Saudi Aramco, Ministry of Labor and Social Development, TVTC & HRDF resulted in the establishment of the first academy for female in Al Khobar - Leading National Academy (LNA) - which is not-for-profit legally independent entity aiming at leading diversification of employment opportunities and building the capabilities of the Saudi female workforce through economy driven, elite, and agile training; committed to the values of integrity, excellence, diversity, citizenship and safety responsibility. In partnership with NCKSA, LNA provides a specialized two-year diploma training program for entry-level jobs in new market opportunities.
 
The first year, the Academic Program, solidifies English, IT, Math, and H&S skills as part of the performance-based curriculum. In the second year, the Job Skills Program provides the latest knowledge and skills training in different vocational trades and sectors (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Chemical Lab Technician, Business Administration, Electrical Technician, Health & Safety and Environment, and Quality Control Building Inspection). LNA prides itself on its integral reliance on smart learning solutions (e.g. iPads, Smartboards, blended learning) to efficiently equip carefully selected trainees (A2 minimum) through high quality training.
 
Applications are invited for the position of Coordinator, Assessment at Niagara College KSA, Leading National Academy (LNA) in Al Khobar. Reporting to the Manager, Academic, the Coordinator, Assessment performs the functions involving testing and delivering courses and shall assist in the effective operation of the office of Academic Services. The incumbent will be responsible for the operation and administration of all assessment matters and for the accurate scheduling of all assessment and maintaining accurate assessment records. This person shall provide statistics and analysis related to assessment results. In addition, the incumbent shall provide the Registrar and Coordinator, Quality with data needed to perform their jobs effectively.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating the placement tests in the new trainee registration and admission process and ensure results are recorded on the student management system (NCIS).
Liaising with all relevant parties to create and disseminate the monthly and annual assessment calendars to staff and trainees.
Create highly reliable and valid test questions targeting written and spoken English and Math.
Executing the operation and administration of all testing matters, collaborating with all parties.
Maximizing the use of various educational technology platforms (NCIS, Moodle, EduZee) to conduct assessment and record keeping.
Organizing and maintaining records for all scheduling matters related to assessment.
Training staff in proctoring various tests, both in a virtual and face-to-face environment.
Training faculty to grade accurately using detailed rubrics and conduct moderation sessions.
Internally verifying a minimum of 30% of all formative assessment in the Academic Program (i.e. English, presentations, IT, Math, clerical courses, etc.)
Providing and interpreting results to staff (e.g. Quality Coordinator, Academic Manager) with short turnaround time including suggested actions to address academic gaps.
Providing regular reports and analysis related to the program enrolment and results.
Delivering up to 12 scheduled hours of English language instruction per week or cover (if needed for the program).
Planning and delivering high quality, function-based lessons online a face-to-face.
Developing and creating a learning environment that is conducive to success for all trainees.
Evaluating trainee progress and assume responsibility for the assessment of the trainee’s work within the assigned courses.
Assessing trainees on writing, speaking and presentation skills using detailed rubrics.
Teaching remedial sessions to at-risk trainees during non-teaching periods.
Optimizing the use of educational technologies to meet trainee learning needs.
Participate in curriculum and consultative committees and team meetings.
