Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of Japanese-inspired desserts and pastries that complement our menu offerings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to innovate while adhering to traditional Japanese culinary techniques.
Responsibilities:•Production and preparation of all pastry items, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.•Collaborate with the culinary team to incorporate seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques into dessert offerings.•Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.•Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.•Stay updated on industry trends and new pastry techniques, incorporating relevant innovations into menu development.
Requirements:•Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a restaurant or pastry shop.•Strong knowledge of Japanese pastry techniques and ingredients is preferred.•Creativity and ability to develop unique dessert recipes while respecting Japanese culinary traditions.•Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.•Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality pastry items.•Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.•Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
