Grow Singapore's cruise business to maintain Singapore’s position as a leading cruise hub of Asia.
A core industry of Singapore tourism, Cruise has been growing at a steady pace. The COVID-19 has greatly impacted the cruise industry with a global pause on sailings, including Singapore. In the short term, we expect cruise to resume with a 'new normal' set of protocols. In the medium term, we are confident the industry is resilient and will rebound. Hence, the work we do to pursue business and assist the cruise industry in its recovery is now even more important.
Main Responsibilities:
You will drive the cruise business by pursuing cruise lines for deployment, develop p cruise experiences and strengthen ASEAN collaboration to promote the cruise agenda. You will also be involved in cruise resumption work, i.e. to implement necessary onboard protocols and safety measures to ensure cruises resume sailings safely.
Key responsibilities include:
Growing supply: Engage and partner global cruise lines to build a pipeline of home-ported ships and grow the cruise business for Singapore.
P cruise experiences: Develop initiatives to lengthen p cruise stays, including the curation of destination experiences for cruise passengers.
Fostering ASEAN collaboration: Advance Southeast Asia’s cruise development through bilateral and multilateral engagements and activities.
Cruise resumption efforts: Enhance and review different facets of cruise resumption activities, including safety and testing protocols, use of technology for Safe Management Measures (SMM), fine-tuning SOPs.
Key relationships:
External stakeholders (Cruise stakeholders, overseas travel agents, local and overseas government counterparts)
Job Requirements:
At least 3 years of working experience preferably in the areas of business development, strategic planning and marketing.
Prior experience in stakeholder management and ASEAN work would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Strategic and analytical thinking.
Relationship building and stakeholder engagement, including G2G relations.
Able to work under time pressure.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power point is necessary.
Good Negotiation and people skills.
