Buyer Responsibilities:
· Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open Purchase Orders
· Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
· Negotiate the lowest possible price and longest credit terms possible with the suppliers
· Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
· Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
· Deliver a weekly purchase order report to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, showing the progress on his list of materials needed.
· Work with the Warehouse team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
· Assist the Supply Procurement & Chain Manager with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
· Establish reliable lines of contact with field management team to ensure that all field purchase orders are accurate
