Job Summary
Defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings and designing fully-functional products
Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Work on ideas or develop design concepts using computer-aided design (CAD)
2. Ensure design integrity and reliability
3. Research and develop Cad related issues
4. Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions
5. Coordinate with the team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication
6. Collaborate with clients and decision-makers to understand project requirements
7. Follow up current, state-of-the-art Information Technology in design applications
1. Technical Knowledge: A strong foundation and understanding of architectural features, fit-out and joinery principles, techniques, and materials is essential.
2. Design Skills: Proficiency in using design software AutoCAD (2 D and 3D). The ability to translate clients' requirements.
3. Sales and Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Sales and marketing abilities, combined with the capacity to understand clients' needs.
4. Product Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of architectural features, fit-out and joinery products and materials ( wood, glass, metal, acrylic) is necessary.
5. Project Management: Having project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and coordinate with stakeholders, clients, vendors . Attention to detail and organisational capabilities are essential.
6. A bachelor's degree in engineering, interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred
7. Previous experience in design within the architectural features (water features), fit-out and joinery industry is highly required.
8. Ability to create detailed shop drawings and production drawings for architectural features, Interior Fit-out and joinery projects.
9. Knowledge of creating BOQ's
10. Fluency in English is a must
