• Design and implementation of disaster recove infrastructure for “SQL Server “–including clustering, mirroring, log-shipping and replication techniques.
• Design, implementation and support of high-volume SQL transactional replication topologies.
• Design and implementation of SSIS package for complex business logic and data loading processes.
• Planning complicated syst changes from a SQL Server DBA perspective to support IT projects.
• Lead DBA on several database migrati (including SQL server and oracle database migration ) and implementation projects – including several physical to virtual migrations, and upgrades from “SQL Server “ versions (2008 ,2012,2014 and 2016 ), infrastructure design, migration planning and implementation.
• Development and maintenance of data warehouse, ETL and reporting applications.
• Create and support databases across internal and end-user applications.
• Analyze existing databases applications to improve the functionality of the databases.
• Administer databases security across all databases environments.
• Prepare periodic reports regarding unit’s activities and goal attainment.
• Implements standards, best practice and controls of the necessary infrastructure process associated with the databases (s) of the Organization according to ITIL.
• Assists in troubleshooting and technical system support for any arising database problem.
• Monitor and prepare reports for database transactions.
• Prepare a backup strategy for database, and revi the current database backup procedures.
• Supervise the replication process with the DR site.
• Assists in the daily activities with other IT sectors and organization when necessary and Assist in design, development and implementation of database systems.
• Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing database policies and produces require change in the database environments, or where new ones need to be developed according to ISO standardizations.
• Make an in-depth study for the current databases, and restructure them if necessary.
• Work closely with other IT sections to coordinate current and future plans and activates including coordination and technical assistance to facilities development project.
• Assist in forecasting of future utilization and equipment Requirements.
• Following up the systems development and ensuring that execution is carried out in time according to the agreed upon specifications.
• Prepare and implement technical presentations to demonstrate the recommended systems database, to insure integrality and compatibility.
• Provide database support services at all times to ensure continuous system availability.
• Maintain standard data recovery processes to improve recoverability time.
• Stay updated on latest developments in database services and technologies.
• Test database and perform bug fixes.
• Recommend solutions to improve database management, performance and security.
• Conduct trainings to junior staff on database design, development and maintenance activities.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science / computer engineering.
