• Carries out and maintains the highest possible standard of patient care.
• Assesses and identifies the needs of the patients.
• Assists the doctors in any procedure and carry out their orders as directed.
• Administers medication following the 5 Rights of Medications.
• Checks daily drug expiry labels to ensure its accuracy.
• Ensure proper requisition and storage of drugs and other supplies in the unit.
• Checks daily equipment maintenance to ensure that it is in good working condition before its usage.
• Provides education and health teachings.
• Participates in the maintenance of high standard of hygiene following infection control practices in rendering patient care.
• Ensures that reporting infectious communicable diseases has been notified accordingly.
• Proper documentation of patient pertinent clinical activity.
• Designates and directly supervise junior nursing staff and supports, guides and teaches them in their clinical practice.
• Operates medical equipment and monitoring devices and machines effectively.
• Strives to improve nursing standard by keeping abreast with new techniques and developments in the profession.
• Gives and received comprehensive reports on observation and prognosis of patients.
• Complies with the nursing code of ethics and hold the professional dress code.
• Performs other job-related duties as deemed necessary.
DOH License / Exam Passer
with more than 2 years experience in the following areas:
- Rehabilitation
- LTC / LTV
- Critical Care
- Inpatient
