Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and project managers.
Monitor budgetary performance and report variances.
Implement cost control measures to optimize project profitability.
Accounting Management: Supervise the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
Oversee financial record-keeping and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Provide financial analysis and insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Identify financial risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance and accounting team.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree a CPA preferred.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as a Financial Controller or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and project costing.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
