Fire Protection Equipment Technicians install, test and maintain fire protection equipment and systems such as extinguishers, hoses, reels, hydrants, fire blankets, exit lighting, fire and smoke doors, gaseous fire suppression systems, passive fire and smoke containment systems , foam generating equipment. Sprinklers, dry stand pipe systems, FM 200, Aerosol, kitchen hood & pre-action system
• Inspects, repairs, and tests fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.
• Dismantles extinguishers and examines mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts.
• Able to test Fire pump , FM 200, Aerosol , Kitchen hood, Pre-action system etc.
