Job Description:
•Create detailed technical drawings and plans for the production of furniture, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings.
•Collaborate with furniture designers, architects, and engineers to understand design concepts and specifications.
•Translate design concepts into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques.
•Ensure that the furniture designs meet industry standards, ergonomic guidelines, and safety regulations.
•Calculate dimensions, material requirements, and production costs to optimize design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
•Develop bill of materials (BOM) and cutting lists for accurate material estimation and procurement.
•Collaborate with the production team to resolve any technical issues during the manufacturing process.
•Review and modify existing furniture designs to improve functionality, structural integrity, or cost efficiency.
•Keep updated with the latest trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques in the furniture industry.
•Maintain accurate doentation of design changes, revisions, and project progress.
•Conduct quality checks on finished furniture pieces to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements:
•Proven EXPERIENCE AS A FURNITURE DRAFTSMAN or similar role in the furniture industry.
•PROFICIENCY in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
•STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF FURNITURE DESIGN principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
•Excellent attention to detail and ABILITY TO CREATE ACCURATE TECHNICAL DRAWINGS.
•Understanding of industry standards, ergonomic guidelines, and safety regulations.
•ABILITY TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY and COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY with designers, architects, and production teams.
•STRONG PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS and ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT TECHNICAL ISSUES during the manufacturing process.
•Familiarity with different types of furniture, styles, and trends.
•DEGREE or DIPLOMA in INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, FURNITURE DESIGN, or a related field is preferred.
