Experience
3 to 5 experience years as Golf Course Superintendent or 1st Assistant in Middle East /UAE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop the annual maintenance budget and operating plan while working alongside the General Manager and Head Golf Professional.
• Plan and implement employee schedules to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Maintain the golf course in proper playing condition according to set standards.
• Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, pumping and water reservoir systems.
• Develop and implement a fertilizer, aeration and Integrated Pest Management program for turf grass and plant care.
• Supervise and complete course construction projects and bunker renovation projects.
• Supervise equipment maintenance and repair operations with the Course Mechanic.
• Ensure maintenance of all appropriate quality and cleanliness standards including employee hygiene, equipment repair areas, equipment storage areas, chemical and fertilizer storage areas, receiving areas, washing areas, restrooms, etc.
• Ensure compliance with HSE rules and regulations, relating to chemical and fertilizer storage and disposal, employee safety, public safety, etc.
• Maintain accurate records pertaining to department activities including, but not limited to, labour, schedules, course maintenance, construction activities, equipment repair, safety meetings and activities, fertilizer and chemical applications and pest control practices.
• Manages an aggressive water usage tracking plan and irrigation systems and provides monthly reporting on water source usage.
• Recruits, supervises and retains maintenance staff. Conducts employee performance evaluations and exercises disciplinary action.
• Communicates in a totally professional manner including to subordinates, management, other staff on property, suppliers, as well as member and other guests and potential guests.
• Perform other duties as appropriate.
