Industrial Product Designer
The work involves- Concept Designing- Modelling - Producing Prototypes - Testing of POC - Optimization of aesthetics. Work on new products or improve existing ones, and use their understanding of technology, materials and manufacturing methods to improve the design, usability, reliability and aesthetics of the products. They may need to work on the budget of the designed item to make sure it's cost effective.Create 3D computer models, manufacturing and assembly drawings, and bills of material (BOM)
Create and maintain detailed component and assembly CAD drawings; parts research and specifications for BoM for production using 2D AutoCAD or similar package
Working on ideas as part of a team or developing design concepts using CAD (computer-aided design).
Sketching initial design ideas.
Identifying the suitability and availability of materials.
Producing detailed, final hand drawings and specifications or, more likely, using dedicated computer software (CAD) to produce design specifications.
Making working models and Rapid Prototyping.
Researching market requirements, materials and processes.
Taking feedback from other departments, including marketing, to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs and commercial issues.
Making presentations to senior product management team or authorized person

Desired Skills & Experience
A high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach for the aesthetic designing; Visual and spatial awareness, Commercial awareness; Computer literacy (three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD (computer-aided design); Knowledge of industrial process and standards; Communication and customer-facing skills; The ability to cope with the pressure of deadlines; A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others; Good in making Free hand sketching of the Concept Designs. Good Knowledge about the Product Manufacturing and Material Selection Concept making from scratch. Ability to perform Rapid Prototyping, 3D Modelling, Product Animations and Simulations. • SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE: o 3D Modelling Software: Alias, Rhinoceros 3D, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion 360, Inventor. o 2D Sketching Software: Sketchbook Pro, SketchUp, AutoCAD. o Graphic Design Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MAYA, Blender. • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Bachelors in design or masters in industrial / product design from design institutes.
