We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Helper. The Kitchen Helper will assist our chefs and kitchen staff in the preparation and organization of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be motivated, detail-oriented, and have a passion for food and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of our chefs.
2. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
3. Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
4. Assist in receiving and storing incoming food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and storage techniques.
5. Stock and maintain inventory levels of food ingredients and supplies.
6. Set up and break down food stations, ensuring they are well-stocked and organized at all times.
7. Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
8. Assist with plating and presentation of food, ensuring proper portion sizes and attractive presentation.
9. Carry out basic kitchen tasks, such as dishwashing, garbage disposal, and general cleaning duties.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred but not required.
3. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and sanitation standards.
4. Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [weight limit].
