Job description
- Ensure implementation of laboratory management system ISO 17025 in their work area.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EH&S guidelines and good laboratory practices.
- Maintain and update records of routine activities, daily checks for all applicable equipment.
- Perform internal calibration / verification and maintenance for all laboratory equipment as per schedule.
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical testing of various types of Fresh & Used Lube Oil.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, and keep all chemicals and reagents properly labeled.
- Developing and implementing the right testing protocols in according the ASTM Testing Methodologies and standards.

Provide quality control for products blended. Quality control includes testing of product batches, recording of test results including adjustments to blends, preparation of certificates of analysis and other customer-required doentation and other activities as may be required.
Analyze production samples, raw materials, finished goods in a timely manner ensuring the accuracy of test results.
Provide guidance to production personnel in the adjustment of batches and timely disposition of production.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the Laboratory. Make a request lab supplies & chemicals when needed.
Notify technical staff of issues in production in order that they can be resolved in a timely manner.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances;
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments;
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training;
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators;
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations;
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions;
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers;
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards;
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals;
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.


Candidate Requirements

Requirements

- Graduate in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 2-3 years of experience in Lube Oil Testing Lab.
- Skill to operate AAS, ICP-OES, FT-IR, TAN, TBN as following ASTM Test procedure.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using common PC applications like LIMS.
- Basic knowledge of lab equipment and handling chemicals used to perform lab functions.
- Well conversant in Fresh & Used Lube Oil testing.
