Job Description

Participate in the development of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthful work environment. Identify potential safety & health hazards, threats and discrepancies with safety policy, regulatory agency standards, and develop solutions to elimina employee injury caused by unsafe procedures, poor work area design or faulty equipment Plan and conduct evaluations of potentially hazardous conditions, including exposure monitoring, as necessary. Analyze HSE inciden, looking for trends, and make recommendations for improvement to subordinates and senior management. Develop, implement, and monitor incident reporting, incident investigation, and remediation procedures to top class safety standards. Direct Company's inju management and classification process, as well as the monitoring of Company's worker's compensation program. Conduct annual and end of project reviews of the individual HSE programs to incorporate in new lessons-learned. Prepare reports for submission to management, primary investigators a managers, which identify the potential hazards a program discrepancies, and provide recommendations for control and compliance. Advise management and employees on safe practices and potential hazards. Develop, implement, and administer HSE programs. Process may include rewriting a safety manual, reordering procedures, re-training employees or replacing equipment. Ensure workplace safety hazards are identified through the Company's audit process Approve and monitor subcontractors' HSE programs in conformance with Company's requirements. Establish metrics and a recording format for the collection and dissemination of Company's and sub-contractor safety performance. Support the Business Development team in preparing proposals, reviewing specifications, and responding to inquiries as they relate to HSE queries Conduct follow-up inspections, tests and audits to make sure safety has been increased. Involvement with contract preparation and contractor selection process to ensure a safe work process during construction operations Participate in or lead accide investigations. Participate in meetings, workshops and conferences to keep abreast of emerging safety and health issues and conduct and coordinate professional training sessions for staff.
