o Align and straighten tile pieces to be installed using levels, squares, rulers, tape measures & straight edge and determine & implement the best layout in order to achieve a desired pattern.
o Measures and mark wall or floor areas where the tile pieces are to be placed with appropriate marking device.
o Trim and shape tile pieces to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces & corners, using hand & power cutting tools.
o Fit and fasten wall or floor tile piece into specified position using appropriate tools and adhesives
o Fill joints with grout, clean and level cracks using appropriate methods
o Finish and dress the joining areas, wipe excess material between pieces using damp sponge and polish tiles to luster.
o Fix tiles & ceramics using appropriate methods to ensure quality work.
Min 5 Years’ experience as tile setter, Floors & Walls with a reputable contracting company. Will be knowledgeable with materials, methods & tools used in setting tile pieces. Will be Physically fit & possess manual dexterity needed to set tile pieces into place in any one of the showrooms / project sites. Advantageous if familiar with a broad range of bathroom material products / items such as ceramic tiles, porcelain, sanitary ware including bathroom fitting & fixtures.
