Your duties and responsibilities as part of global freight forwarding company as Operations Coordinator will include:
• Handling and managing general cargo shipments, incl. full operational (technical) and cost control / profitability (commercial) aspects across airfreight / sea freight / road transport & customs clearance activities.
• Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners, and other offices for any operations-related issues
• Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, and sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors
• Calculating and monitoring individual job files
• Supporting sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clients
• Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment
• Supporting management in reporting, etc.
Your duties and responsibilities as part of global freight forwarding company as Field operations coordinator will include:
• Responsibility for coordination of field operations by visiting seaports / airports / loading / off-loading sites and coordinating with hauliers / truckers / customs authorities when required
• Ability to work in field at locations outside normal office hours
Skills
• Logistics Degree and 1-3 years of work experience as Coordinator or in a comparable position is an advantage
• Basic know-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight / Airfreight is an advantage
• Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)
• Fluent English skills, both written and verbal is compulsory.
Some experience in digital marketing and social media
• Qatar Experience, knowledge of shipping lines, routes, customs
• Valid visa for first 3 months until completion of probation period.
• With transferable visa and valid QID /NOC.
