Job Overview:
The Pest Control Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing pest control strategies to ensure the effective and efficient management of pests in the assigned facilities. Pest Control Manager will oversee a team of back-office staff, technic supervisors and pest control technicians and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement pest management strategies to effectively prevent and manage pest infestations based on factors such as facility type, pest presence, and environmental conditions.
•Supervise and coordinate the activities of pest control team under you by providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure efficient and effective pest management operations.
•Identify pest infestations, assess level of infestation, root cause and determine appropriate treatment methods based on pest type, location, and severity.
•Direct, Monitor and participate in the application of pest control treatments, including the use of chemical, biological, and mechanical control methods, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
•Regularly inspect facilities for signs of pest activity, monitor the effectiveness of pest management measures, and update strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
•Monitor and guide team to maintain accurate records of pest control activities, including treatment plans, application logs, and inspection reports, to track progress and compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Communicate with internal team and external clients to provide updates on pest control activities, address concerns or inquiries, and recommend preventative measures to minimize future infestations.
•Stay informed about relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to pest management activities and implement them at the site.
•Monitor & manage the pest control budget, including allocating resources effectively, monitoring expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, biology, environmental science, or related field preferred.
•Previous experience in pest control operations, with demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
•Strong knowledge of pest biology, behavior, and control methods.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
•Proficiency in using pest control tools, equipment, and software applications.
