Responsibilities
•Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources.
•Coordinate with sales and marketing departments to forecast demand and adjust production accordingly.
•Ensure timely execution of production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
•Establish and maintain quality standards for plastic products in compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
•Implement quality control procedures throughout the production process, including incoming raw materials inspection, in-process checks, and final product inspection.
•Work closely with the quality of the product to address any deviations or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
•Continuously evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
•Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
•Optimize inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply while minimizing carrying costs.
•Coordinate with procurement to source raw materials and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
•Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of employees.
•Promote environmental sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, recycling, and energy conservation.
•Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
•Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for staff development.
•Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to control expenses without compromising quality or safety.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, yield, and scrap rates to drive cost-effective operations.
•Identify potential risks to production operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
•Monitor external factors such as market trends, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes that may impact production.
•Work closely with the sales teams to understand customer requirements and address any issues or concerns related to product quality or delivery.
•Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality products on time and providing responsive support.
Requirements and skills
•Proven experience as production Manager
•Deep knowledge of production management
•Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
•Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
•Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
•Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
•Knowledge of six sigma belts
•Outstanding communication ability
•Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
•Attention to detail.
•Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
•B in business administration or relevant field is preferred.
