Prototype Engine
§ Create 3D computer models, manufacturing and assembly drawings, and bills of material (BOM)
§ Plan part creation, Direct Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation and maintenance for my product
§ Identify cost savings and productivity opportunities in existing product lines in the product category.
§ Validated attributes and BOM structure and set-up Manufacturing database
§ Create and maintain detailed component and assembly CAD drawings; parts research and specifications for BoM for production using 2D AutoCAD or similar package
§ Lead a new product introduction including BOM structures, new manufacturing line setup, process documentation and validation
§ Manage BOM to initiate cost studies and manufacturing feasibility studies for new products
§ Write and keep up-to-date Manufacturing Process steps and supporting Documentation including BOM's, assembly drawings and procedures
§ Modify CAD data along with BOM as required to meet manufacturing requirements
§ Work with the planner to update project status, create BOM in Oracle, and develop risk mitigation plans
§ Verify Bill of Material, EBOM and MBOM accuracy by researching engineering drawings, parts lists and database
§ Generate drawings and 3D models that will be used for tooling, Prototyping, patents, marketing, and manufacturing as well as branding, packaging and testing as needed.
§ Overseeing the start of the manufacturing process to ensure productivity and safety
§ Administer and validate various new products and services to ensure effective implementation plans
§ Coordinate with departments and select appropriate products for various device designs
§ Monitor process performance data to establish good control parameters
§ Perform required test correlation, evaluation, and test characterization on new products
§ Coordinate the engineering activities during new product development including validation, performance characterization, qualification and release to production
§ Manage individual new product development projects and experimental testing procedures.
§ Coordinate new product development, enhancements, implementation testing and release checkpoints
§ Manage product sales and new product development functions for modular manufacturing systems
§ Work with Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers for the production requirements and marketing to develop product literature and USPs
§ Develop project plans around margins testing, characterization, and risk mitigation as part of the new product development process
§ Research and test various high-performance materials and fabrics to inform new product development for boot and outerwear products
§ Assist R&D department in new product development including lab work, field trials, and commercial scale-ups.

Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree, with focus on product design and mechatronics. Expertise in C software, Graphical Illustration, MS Excel, Web Content preparation Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members Curious about how things are made, and how they function. Be creative, artistic, and have vivid imaginations Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and out-of-the-box thinker Skills and Understanding: o Essential: 3D C, Multibody simulation, 3D printing, CNC machining, MS Excel proficiency, Reporting, Hands on experience with machining, welding o Desirable: TIG welding, CNC bending, Vacuum Forming, mold making Sand casting, etc. Prior Experience: o Essential: Any 3D printing machines S o Desirable: Ender 3-P, Carbide 3D
