Quantity Surveyor, Saudi Arabia (SAR 15,000 – 20,000 depending upon experience)
As we continue to expand our operations in Saudi Arabia, we at Massar are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about managing the commercial aspects of projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, contract management, and a proven track record of successful commercial project management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate surveys and cost estimates for projects
- Develop and manage project budgets, providing regular updates and cost reports
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure contractual compliance and handle variations or claims effectively
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with commercial aspects of projects
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and minimize financial impact
- Collaborate with clients to understand their commercial requirements and expectations
- Provide transparent and timely communication regarding project finances
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial project management, preferably in the Saudi Arabian market
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for quantity surveying and project management
