Overview
As the Company registered nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient health problems, administering nursing care to ill, disabled, convalescent, or injured patients, maintaining vital medical records, implementing nursing care plans, advising patients on health maintenance, and providing guidance about preventative services, such as health screenings and medications.

What You Will Do
1.Utilize the nursing process in the planning, coordination, assessment and implementation of athlete nursing care and treatment.
2.Deliver care to athletes that is culturally and religiously appropriate and which promotes positive health outcomes.
3.Conduct nursing interventions in accordance with Aspetar policy, procedure and code of conduct and in accordance with Qatar legislation, Professional registration, and Recognised scope of practice.
4.Comply with the direction and guidance of the Clinic Director in the planning and delivery of athlete care.
5.Ensures the medical clinic facilities are properly maintained and cleaned and that disposal of waste products occurs in accordance with agreed standards and policies.
Identify and report situations or practices that affe the potential to affect patient safety and outcomes.
6.Facilitate the Medication Management process in the medical clinic under the supervision of the Clinic Director and as per NSMP Pharmacy policies including but not limited to: maintaining medicati inventory and ensuring safe storage of same; medication administration and doentation.
7.Effectively utilize clinical equipment and technology.
8.As required, attend training, competition a sporting events in nursi aid capacity.
Promote athlete health and wellness by: Providing advice and support on healthy lifestyle to Athletes; Developing and delivering relevant education programs; Identifying and addressing barriers to learning and the adoption of healthy practices.
9.Participate in the planning and implementation of strategies to support the application of quality standards and quality improvements.
10.Promote the application of evidenced based data and standards of clinical excellence in athlete care.
11.Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures as required.
Attend and successfully complete competencies which focus on patient safety initiatives implemented within Aspetar (including annual patient safety training).
12.Demonstrate effective written communication skills in clinical doentation.
13.Attend multi-discipline and department meetings when required (in Aspetar and at club/federation).

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences
•2-5 years post graduate experience as a Nurse in a general health setting (e.g. hospital, community health, GP setting).
•Experience in sports medici ca health a outpatient nursing care is an advantage

Education and Certification requirements:
•Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing.
•Licensed to practice as a Registered General Nurse.
