1- Bachelor Degree in Science or Diploma in Engineering from a
recognized and reputed university (see Notes 1 & 2), with minimum 5
years’ experience as HSE personnel in the relevant field.
OR
Successfully passed High School with an NEBOSH Certification from
a recognized and reputable Institute, with minimum 10 years’
experience, including 7 years’ as HSE personnel in the relevant field.
2- Must have successfully completed one or more certified HSE
course(s) in any category of training in General Industrial Safety,
Construction Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene,
ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, ASSP Certificate in
Global Safety Management or equivalent courses.
3- Safety Officer must have successfully completed First Aider
certification as per KOC.HE.004.
1. The Engineering fields (for Bachelor Degree and Diploma) shall be Architecture,
Automotive, Biological Science, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science & Information
Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Physics, Environment, Fire & Safety,
Geology, Industrial, Instrumentation, Manufacturing, Marine, Mechanical, Metallurgy,
Mining, Nuclear, Occupational Health & Safety, Petroleum, Production, or Structural &
Sustainability Design.
2. The Science fields (for Bachelor Degree and Master Degree) shall be Applied Science,
Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science,
Ecology, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Fire & Safety, Fire Sciences,
Geology, Industrial Safe, Mathematics, Natural Science, Occupational Health
& Safety, Petroleum Science, Physics, Radiation Protection or Soil Science.
3. NEBOSH certification is exempted for degree in Safety, Environment a Occupational
Heal Hygiene fields.
4. Engineering, Diploma and Science Degree courses shall be full time or part time regular
course.
5. On-line learning courses shall not be acceptable for any of the basic educational
qualifications.
