Job Description:
We are currently searching for a Security Guard to help protect our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and preventing theft, trespassing, and other illegal activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Protecting the company's property and people by maintaining a secure environment
- Patrolling the premises to check for any suspicious or criminal activities
- Monitoring the CCTV cameras and alarm systems to ensure that all valuable assets are safe
- Monitoring staff and visitors' access control to the premises, including checking identification cards, issuing visitor badges and controlling access to restricted areas
- Maintaining a vigilant presence and reporting any unusual or suspicious behaviors or potential security hazards
- Responding to security alarms and taking appropriate action, such as contacting emergency services and reporting incidents to senior management
- Writing detailed incident reports, taking note of activities, threats and any unusual occurrences
- Conducting regular safety and security checks of the property, such as checking lighting, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits,
- Taking adequate measures to ensure the security of the building and equipment, including storing of keys
- Liaising with the local police and other emergency services during an emergency situation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Previous experience working as a security guard preferred
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Familiarity with CCTV cameras, access control systems or other security-related equipment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and effectively
- Strong physical fitness
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and possess a clean criminal record.
