Job Description

As a security guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, personnel, and assets. You will monitor surveillance equipment, patrol designated areas, and respond to security incidents as necessary. Additionally, you will enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or criminal activity.

Responsibilities:

Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities or security breaches.

Patrol Duties: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity, identify safety hazards, and ensure compliance with security protocols.

Access Control: Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing visitors or employees to designated locations.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain safety.

Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and patrols by writing detailed incident reports and logs.

Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, or customers regarding security-related concerns or inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

Security Checks: Conduct security checks of vehicles, bags, or packages entering or leaving the premises to prevent theft, smuggling, or unauthorized items.

Alarm Response: Respond to alarms, investigate the cause of activation, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services if necessary.

Fire Safety: Monitor fire detection systems, assist with fire drills, and enforce fire safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent fire hazards.

Risk Assessment: Assess security risks and vulnerabilities within the premises, recommend security enhancements or procedures, and collaborate with management to implement effective security measures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid security guard license or certification (if required by local regulations).
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
