Role:
We’re looking for an organized and motivated accountant to join the finance team at our growing international school in Doha. The Accountant will work closely with our Finance Manager and other support staff, processing daily transactions, dealing with enquiries from parents and staff and providing accounting support as required.
Duties:
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Initiates and records payment transactions in the accounting system and purchasing system
- Prepare the suggested payments, duly supported by the documentation, and follow up any pending information if necessary
- Perform auto-banking reconciliations, transaction posting & other bank instructions or documents
- Daily processing of school fee transactions
- Perform monthly accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, other month-end reconciliations
- Prepare the monthly tax reconciliation with the supporting documents for the Tax Authorities
- Cashflow forecasting
