Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble pieces of garments by matching patterns and dye lots
- Operate single, double or multi-needle serging, flat bed felling, banding and other sewing machines, to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis
- Operate serging machines to sew and overcast edges of material simultaneously
- Operate tackers, pocket setters, buttonhole makers and fusing, hemmer and other machines
- Complete production reports
- May perform minor maintenance and repairs on sewing machines.
- Technical Certificate in a related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Good English
- Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
- Detailed oriented and punctual
- Able to work overtime with short notice
- Maintain equipment and cleanliness of work area
- Perform all job duties using standard safety practices
