Italian Shoe Factory, a renowned manufacturer of luxury footwear & leather goods in Dubai is seeking a skilled and experienced Shoes and Bag Repair Specialist (Cobbler) to join our team. As a Cobbler, you will play a crucial role in restoring and repairing high-end shoes and bags to their original condition. You should have exceptional attention to detail, have color mixing and patina skills to ensure the delivery of impeccable craftsmanship and maintain the superior quality associated with our brand.
Responsibilities:
Perform expert repair and restoration services on a range of shoes and bags, including luxury high-end products, made from various materials such as leather, suede, canvas, and more.
Conduct meticulous color mixing and patina techniques to match and restore the original color and finish of the items.
Execute a variety of repair services, including sole replacement, heel replacement, stitching, patching, and reconditioning, with a focus on preserving the integrity and aesthetics of each item.
Assess customer items for necessary repairs, provide accurate cost estimates, and communicate estimated turnaround times effectively.
Utilize specialized tools, techniques, and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and ensure exceptional quality.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools, fostering a safe and productive working environment.
Communicate with customers to understand their specific repair requirements and provide knowledgeable guidance on suitable repair options.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in shoe and bag repair techniques, and emerging materials and tools.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, recommending preventative maintenance measures, and suggesting appropriate care products.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs, maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Shoes and Bag Repair Specialist (Cobbler) or similar role, with a focus on high-end luxury products.
Proficient in repairing and restoring shoes and bags made from a variety of materials, including luxury and high-end products.
Excellent attention to detail, color mixing, and patina skills to accurately match and restore original colors and finishes.
In-depth knowledge of shoe and bag construction, repair techniques, and the utilization of relevant tools and equipment.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to execute intricate repair work.
Effective communication skills to interact with customers, provide clear explanations of repair options and costs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating efficiency and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adjust to changing repair priorities and customer demands.
Commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
