Job Description – Store Manager
Report to: Regional Manager
 
Work Schedule
A store Manager normally works a flexible schedule, requiring both morning and evening availability. A Store Manager is expected to be available for work any day of the week. Requested to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by Regional Manager.
·        Salaried general working Scheduled for 54 hours (1 full day off – 2 morning shifts off). 
General Description
Responsible for the overall performance of store across all measurements and delivering required store standards throughout to maintain the required brand standards of eXtra with high sense of urgency, high energy level , attention to details and philosophy of hands-on management. Responsible for the development of all employees in the store to create a first class shopping experience for  every customer and constantly demonstrate our company culture of “C.C.A.R.E” by treating employees as individuals with dignity and respect.
 
 

Customer Service
·        Ensure that all store employees understand eXtra customer services philosophy as laid down in C.C.A.R.E
·        Ensure that store management demonstrates superior customer service.
·        Ensure customers’ complaints are resolved with sense of urgency.
·        Ensure customers are greeted in a professional manner and are provided excellent customer service.
Sales performance
·        Identify sales opportunities.
·        Responsible for aggressively promoting sales on the floor.
·        Monitor weekly sales inventory performance reports
·        Take appropriate action to ensure that the store is maximizing sales of every item and every category.
·        Ensure hourly sales & services programs are in place.
Employees Supervision
·        Ensure the corporate culture “C.C.A.R.E” is demonstrated throughout the store.
·        Ensure store atmosphere supports “Open door policy”.
·        Provide supervision to sales manager & operation manager, provide feedback and ensure employees are reviewed in timely manner.
·        Inform Operation manager & Sales manger of performance expectations.
·        Communicate Policies, procedure and programs to employees.
·        Prepare management staff for advancement into expansion markets and provide future leader for the company.
·        Ensure all management team & section head are on the sales floor at the prime time “Aisha pray till closing” no one allowed setting on office or desk.
·        Support company initiatives to achieve required Saudization levels within store
Traini Knowledge
·        Ensure all company training programs are implemented through the store.
·        Understand and explain the financial programs and sales programs to employees.
·        Ensure that employees are trained and knowledgeable about procedures and products.
·        Ensure changes to company policy or procedure are communicated to the staff in timely manner.
 
 
Loss Prevention & Safety
·        Ensure adherence to all company directed programs.
·        Advise Regional Manager of potential security risks and major shrink issues.
·        Ensure that the store environment is safe for employees and customers.
·        Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft and other security risks and promptly communicated to loss prevention.
·        Comply with all Safety & Security procedures.
Scheduli
·        Ensure that the appropriate qualities of employees are in place throughout the store.
·        Ensure that a fair and consistent recruitment program in place.
·        Ensure that staffing of all areas is maintained according to company standard.
·        Review the sales labor forecast weekly and submits per company schedule.
·        Manage the work activities to the forecast.
Merchandise Maintenance
·        Ensure understanding and compliance throughout the store of all merchandising programs.
·        Ensure merchandising is displayed correctly and appropriately on the sales floor.
Operational
·        Ensure understanding and compliance of all operational programs through the store.
·        Operate telephones, Cash register or similar equipment.
·        Refrain from inappropriate, abusive or contentious behavior.
·        Ability to follow all instructions.
·        Respond to employee and customer phone inquiries.
·        Maximize corporate audit score and store reviews by constant monitoring of merchandise and operational program.
·        Access, input, retrieve and interpret information using applicable store computer system.
·        Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
·        Manage payroll hours and controllable expenses.
·        Make recommendations to Regional Manager on how to reduce expenses.
·        Ensure expenses leverage for none added value expenses.
·        Ensure proper management for P&L to maximize profit as well as develop action plan for not realized profit.
