Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1.Sourcing and Procurement:
•Identify potential suppliers globally for technical equipment, materials, and services needed for oil and gas projects.
•Evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, reliability, pricing, and quality of products.
•Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
•Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand technical specifications and requirements for procurement.
2.Vendor Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply of goods and services.
•Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, quality of products, and adherence to contract terms.
•Address any issues or concerns raised by suppliers promptly and effectively to maintain smooth procurement operations.
3.Compliance and Risk Management:
•Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the procurement process.
•Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
•Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers to assess their financial stability, reputation, and adherence to ethical standards.
4.Cost Optimization:
•Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in procurement activities.
•Implement strategies to negotiate better pricing, terms, and discounts with suppliers.
•Analyze market trends and fluctuations in commodity prices to make informed decisions on procurement strategies.
5.Doentation and Reporting:
•Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
•Prepare reports and analysis on procurement performance, including cost savings, supplier performance metrics, and market trends.
•Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to provide updates on procurement activities.
•Analyze market trends and fluctuations in commodity prices to make informed decisions on procurement strategies.
6.Import-Export Doentation and Logistic Support
•Including doent preparation ( including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and impo licenses), Coordinating with Shipping agent for end to end transactions, have clarity on Incoterms and Terms of Sale with the OEM’s / vendors. Plan on the mode of transportation (Air, Sea, Land), have clarity of consignment weight and dimensions.
7.Ensure availability of material Technical Date Sheet, Drawings, MSDS, Mill Test Reports (MTR’S) etc.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
•Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferable), supply chain management, or a related field.
•Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within the oil and gas industry, preferably in the MENA region.
•Working knowledge in SAP – ARIBA and Familiarity with procurement software and tools for vendor management, contract management, and spend analysis.
•Strong understanding of technical specifications and requirements for oil and gas equipment and materials.
•Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
•Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to procurement in the oil and gas sector.
•Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages spoken in the MENA region is a plus.
