Job Description
Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity & shipping.
Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfilment centre, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximise efficiency.
Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
Implementing operational policies and procedures.
Motivating and disciplining staff.
Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
Assisting with deliveries where required.
Communicate with suppliers to schedule receiving.
Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
Plan future capacity requirements
Organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
Requirements:
5+ years warehouse management experience.
Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
Proficient computer skills.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Strong people skills
people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas
team working skills
planning and organizing skills to effectively manage the flow of stock
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering.
Supply cha certificate is a plus
