With a focus on specialty coffee, the company aims to spread knowledge and appreciation for high-quality coffee in the Middle East and GCC region. EARTH ROASTERY provides employees and customers with information and education about various aspects of coffee, including best practices, coffee growing regions, roasting techniques, and flavor evaluation.



Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Operations Manager located in Salmiya. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff and resources, ensuring efficiency and productivity, and implementing operational strategies. The role requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Roasting and Production Management:
Supervise and manage the coffee roasting process, ensuring product consistency, quality, and flavor profiles.
Monitor roasting equipment, schedule maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.

Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels of green and roasted coffee beans, packaging materials, and other supplies.
Manage stock rotation to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.

Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure coffee products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Conduct regular sensory evaluations to assess coffee bean quality and taste.

Cost Management:
Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
Develop and manage budgets for the operations department.

Logistics and Distribution:
Coordinate the efficient packaging, labeling, and distribution of coffee products to customers and retail locations.
Monitor transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including food safety and quality standards.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Introduce new technologies or equipment as needed to improve production quality and capacity.


Candidate Requirements

Experience in operations management, preferably in the coffee industry
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
