Position Summary
The Lead Designer is responsible for leading the creative and technical direction of Night Shade Design's interior design projects. The role includes developing concepts, managing design output, guiding the design team, reviewing drawings and presentations, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and execution teams, and ensuring each project is delivered with strong design intent, practical coordination, and clear client communication.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design direction for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects from concept to delivery.
• Develop and review concepts, moodboards, layouts, material palettes, FF&E selections, and client presentations.
• Lead, guide, and review the work of interior designers, draftsmen, and 3D visualizers.
• Attend client meetings, understand project briefs, present design proposals, and manage client feedback professionally.
• Review architectural and interior drawings, details, finishes, furniture, lighting, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, site teams, and procurement to ensure designs are buildable and aligned with project budget and timeline.
• Prepare and review design packages, scope summaries, quotation support, and handover information for execution.
• Maintain design quality across all project stages and ensure consistency with Night Shade Design's standards.
• Support project planning, design schedules, workload allocation, and internal team coordination.
• Identify design risks, propose practical solutions, and support value engineering when required.
