Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, machinery, and facilities. The role requires troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations while minimizing downtime. The position combines both mechanical and electrical maintenance responsibilities commonly required in UAE industrial and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance
•Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
•Diagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective repairs.
•Replace worn or damaged mechanical components and assemblies.
•Assist in equipment installation, alignment, commissioning, and testing.
•Maintain lubrication schedules and monitor equipment performance.
•Support maintenance shutdowns and equipment overhauls.
Electrical Maintenance
•Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, MCCs, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems.
•Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and instrumentation.
•Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, and automation equipment.
•Conduct electrical testing and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
•Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
•Maintain electrical doentation, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records.
General Maintenance
•Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to maintenance plans.
•Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
•Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts records.
•Coordinate with operations and production teams to minimize downtime.
•Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company HSE policies and UAE regulations.
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
•Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
•Additional vocational certifications are an advantage.
Experience
•Minimum 2–5 years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, facilities management, aviation, or commercial environments.
•Experience working with both mechanical and electrical systems.
•U maintenance experience preferred.
Required Skills
•Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
•Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
•Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
•Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, motors, control panels, and industrial automation systems.
•Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and locko practices.
•Ability to work independently and under pressure.
•Good communication skills in English
Preferred Requirements
•UAE Driving License
•Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
•Knowledge of HVAC, generators, compressors, or industrial machinery.
